about us
Mome Studios is your home for movement – welcome.
Our mission is to create a community-driven space where movement is accessible to all. Mome Studios is a women-owned and operated Pilates studio nestled in the heart of Knightville. Just over the bridge from Portland, we aim to make the group fitness we love more accessible to our Southern Maine community.
We’re creating the fitness space we’ve been craving—a one-stop destination for physical wellness in our neighborhood.

At Mome Studios, we are committed to paying our team a livable wage. In an industry where fair compensation is often overlooked for higher profit margins, we believe that everyone deserves to be paid a wage that supports a sustainable and fulfilling life.
By joining the Mome community, you play a direct role in making this vision a reality. Every class you take, every membership you invest in, and every interaction you have with our studio contributes to fair pay for the people who work to make your experience exceptional.
This philosophy not only uplifts our instructors and staff but also ensures that you receive the highest quality experience from a team that feels valued and supported. Together, we are building a studio that not only promotes wellness through movement but also through ethical, human-centered business practices.
Thank you for being a part of something bigger, where wellness extends beyond the mat.
Our team has built a set of policies to ensure that everyone has equal access to our studio, where they safe and comfortable. Thank you for respecting them.
If you have any questions, please reach out to hello@momestudios.com.

The schedule is available 14 days days in advance of the class. Bookings open up on a rolling basis.
Teachers and classes styles are subject to change. Updates are shared on the class schedule. If you have already booked a class, you will receive a notification as soon as a change is made, via email and text (if you are subscribed).
Our cancellation policy remains in effect, even if the teacher changes during the 12-hour period.
-
Cancellations can be made through the Momence app. Guidelines for cancellation below:
Cancel more than 12 hours before class: no penalty, eligible credits will be returned to the Client’s account.
Cancel less than 12-hours before class: Client incurs a $12 fee, retains class credit.
Any notice you can provide is greatly appreciated as our teachers plan their classes.

Mome Studios provides a 5-minute grace period after the class start time.
If you are not in class by that time, entrance will not be permitted. A $25 “No Show” penalty will be applied to your account and you lose your session credit.
We ask that you arrive 5-10 minutes early to set yourself up for a successful class. Please provide us with as much notice as possible if you are not longer able to attend class.
-
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist.
We use a "Respond to Book" system. If you are next off the waitlist, you will get a text from asking if you would like to claim your spot. You will then have 20 minutes to confirm or reject your space in class before the system moves onto the next person on the waitlist.
If you are on the waitlist and are no longer able to attend class, please remove yourself as soon as possible. There is no penalty for removing yourself from a class waitlist.
Cancellation, late, and no-show policies still apply if you are added to a class from the waitlist. The waitlist will stop admitting people into class spots 1 hour ahead of the class start time.
-
If the studio cancels a class, we will do our best to give at least 2 hours notice when possible.
If possible, we will reach out to you 1:1 to help you rebook a similar class or class time.
Class credits will be returned to your account if we are unable to place you in a different class
-
Our monthly memberships run month-to-month and have no minimum commitment beyond your first month. We do not “freeze” memberships.
We require 30-day notice to cancel any monthly contract. If you wish to cancel, connect with us at the studio, via phone or email, or submit a cancellation request.
Annual memberships are paid in full and are not refundable. We do not “freeze” annual memberships.

For safety reasons, we require grip socks for all Reformer Pilates classes. Please try to remember to bring yours from home!
We will have grip socks available to purchase or borrow for a small fee. All community socks are well taken care of and cleaned after every use.
Closed-toed shoes are recommended for any Strength classes as you will be using heavy weights.
-
Our studio provides all necessary materials for a successful class, including yoga mats.
If you would prefer to use your own yoga mat, you are more than welcome to bring it.
If you have additional tools such as ankle weights you would like to use in class, you should use them at your own risk. Teachers are not responsible for incorporating personal equipment into their class plans.
-
If you are feeling sick or if you have been exposed to someone who is sick , please do not come to class.
If you are exhibiting signs of illness, your teacher will ask you to wear a studio-provided mask. If you refuse to wear the mask, you will be asked to leave, and your class credit will not be returned to you.
This policy protects you, our teachers, the other students in class, and their families.
-
Clients are responsible for informing instructors of any injuries or medical conditions before class.
If you’re recovering from an injury, we recommend booking a 1:1 session for personalized guidance before joining group classes.
Our teachers may restrict participation in certain classes if they believe it could compromise your safety.
If you’re denied access to a class for this reason, you’ll receive a full refund or credit for the session.
